Question TaoTao 125g only starts with fob

recently purchased a taotao 125 for my son. I'm having an issue. It assembled just fine and I cannot get it to start with the ignition switch. I can start it just fine with the key fob provided. I have heard that there is an alarm reset that needs to be done and I cannot find any type of directions for a reset. Any advice or direction is most appreciated.

Also I have held both brakes (foot and right hand brakes) switch is set to run and in neutral. No dice brake light does not come on either. I hit the start button on the fob and starts right up.

Some thing are messed up... No juice in those wire. In theory: press unlock (some need press twice) on fob will have juice / Chinese quad are infamous for using a safety s/w that looks exactly AS turn signal s/w (which u need cancel it manually...)

If you start it with the fob you have to stop it with the fob. If you start it with the key you have to stop it with the key. If you switch any of it up you lock it out. So try starting it with the fob and then shut it off with the fob and hopefully you will be good to go to use the other method.

fob

Hello.... no it will stop with the key turned on ( to start it ) or not.. you have to have the key on.... brakes on... then you can use the key or the remote to start it or stop it.. if you key switch does not have power to the atv for starting... it will not start.. check the key switch for power when the key is on.... ( 2 ) wires will have power... this will let ppower go to the starting button... also just to make sure... check the fuse for power... do not just look... the key fob just sends power to the starting solenoid to power it up.. if the key does not have power to power up the start / stop switch then it will not start... are you neutral & reverse lights on??? when you try to start it??? then you have no power to the start/stop button controller.. check for loose wires in the plugs or bent connectors in the plugs... it happens

brake light

Hello... just notice you said no brake light on... this is like a safety switch... check on the handle bars for the brake light switch wires off... .. but I WOULD SAY A bad fuse... as this will not let power go to the key when you turn on the until... small 10 amp fuse from positive post ... red wire
