Oil Change mishap - Unscrewed the wrong bolt

So I just got my Boom Vader and I went to change the oil and inadvertently removed the wrong bolt that was right next to the oil plug bolt.

This really long spring and a cylinder with some horizontal holes dropped out. There was not much oil coming out either. I pushed the cylinder back in and awkwardly pushed the long coiled spring back up there.

What the heck did I disassemble and was there supposed to be a special way to re-install the cylinder and the spring?

Hoping I didn't mess up the engine or transmission.

thanks

So I did some research and there is a discussion on another board that discussed this:
http://atvconnection.com/forums/3-ge...rain-plug.html

I guess I had removed the bolt for the cam chain tensioner. I hope I didn't mess it up when putting it back in.

I found pics for the items:

And here is a really good video explaining the whole assembly.

Did you put it back in correctly?

I think so. It starts up fine and is running. The idle is a little rough but I think that is normal. Fingers crossed

You are definitely not the first person to make that mistake.
