1975 Honda Cb125s w/ 200cc Lifan

Hi Everyone!

I just picked up this awesome thing last week for all my basic commuting/shopping needs, To my knowledge it was mostly original up to 8600 miles then the Lifan 163FML was swapped in along with a full 12v conversion and 800 miles later I bought it.

It ran but always felt off like it was getting too much air, browsed around and saw the c-clip mod post and gave it a shot a few hours ago with epic results.

Next up is a air filter, if anyone with the same motor happens to know the air filter size it would be greatly appreciated!

Other than that I'll continue to lurk around and try to make a few updates on the build here and there as I have a set of really non-aggressive clubmans that are going on soon as well.

Welcome! I was literally just looking at one of those yesterday with no engine in it thinking of doing a Lifan/Zongshen engine in it lol.

It's a beautiful bike.

As far as the air filter size, I am assuming you are talking about the inside diameter where it connects to the carburetor? Most of these clone engines use Keihin replicas which have a 43 or 44mm O.D. Only way to know for sure though would be to simply measure it.

Welcome! Sweet little bike; I've always wanted to do a similar conversion.
