Nobody understands people in the North East of the U.S. Travel to the Midwest or the Great Plains (me) to get clear speaking Americans. There is a reason all of the major call centers are located here.

I understand the Queen's English just fine as well. I had a friend for many years that moved here from Doncaster (with an overly strong Northern accent), as well as a couple of Kiwi friends I still keep in touch with.
