Motobuys, huh? For some reason, they re-label the bikes they sell with defunct brand names of Chinese bikes from about 10 years ago. Lancer, Jetmoto, Vento are a few brands that were importers and slapped their labels on Chinese motorsports products about 10 years ago. Motobuys will sometimes sell bikes, and then substitute them.
Your bike is a Bashan branded bike, but I think they re-label them so they can substitute another real brand if they over sell a bike. In other words, they might try to send a RPS Hawk to you. Just be aware...

yes it was from motobuys it seemed to be the safest website to buy from and the only other company that had the bsr was superior power sports or some other website apscusa and i tried to contact them they didnt answer the only company that did was motobuys and the sales rep confirmed it was a rebranded bsr that was a 2017 or newer it seems that all the websites r a little on the unprofessional side

Congratulations on the new bike. I'm from Buffalo too. I just ordered a CSC TT250. I originally wanted a Bashan, but couldn't find a dealer I was comfortable with. Let us know how everything goes. I still may order a Bashan in the future. |

You shouldn't as several New Yorkers have registered Hawks there, but I had a gut feeling they would pull this on you! Great bike, but NOT what you thought you would be getting.

He thought he ordered the Bashan, but they switcheroo'd him with a Hawk. Read above what I wrote about Motobuys relabeling currently available bikes with defunct brand names from the mid-2000s (Lancer, Jetmoto, Kymoto, etc). They do that so you see photos, order a bike, then they send you a different bike. If you don't do your homework, you wouldn't know the difference between a Hawk vs. a Bashan, so they send you the cheaper bike. They did this to someone else not too long ago.
