Doesnt sound like you have had any time to tinker with your toy. quick off topic question Dan I saw in another post some where where you had the shinko 700s on your bike. i also decided to go with them i believe o got front 3.00-21 and rear 4.60-18 i found tube for front 90/90-21 but i just couldnt find a good heayduty rear 120/90 or 130/90 so closest i found was a 120/100-18. what do you use?

A tubliss setup lol.

When I had my 705's on my stolen Hawk I ran a 4.10/4.60 x18 tube.

Yes, I haven't had any real time to finish it up. We are already short handed about 5 guys in my department and we lost 2 more. I went from not getting any overtime to working 2 weeks in a row, 10+ hours a day. Somewhat by choice, somewhat not. On weekends they are offering me an extra $100 per 4 hours worked on top of my normal overtime pay. This means I am making about $60 an hour on Fridays and Saturdays...which is hard to say no to. I am not working tomorrow, so I should be able to get it done I hope.

The silly thing with the ulta heavy tubes is...
they don't like being run a very low pressures
is why a lot of people buy them...
at low pressures they don't conform to the tyre
and move/rub... that is where the little balls of rubber
you see when you change the tyre come from ...
why the tube has ware ridges on it....

I've never had to use ultra heavy duty tubes myself, I just used Dunlop, Avon, or Goodyear tubes. When I installed the tires and tubes, I used talcum powder on the tubes so they wouldn't stick and get eaten up by running low pressure, although I think trial guys today run much lower pressure than we did back in my day...ARH

Got my MCO in today as well.
So I guess I haven't missed anything. Been busy myself and just got back from my vacation on Sunday. I had to get away for a while. Spent a week of camping and relaxing.

I've been MIA lately also, I've spent the last week and a half chasing a intermittant overheating problem with my daughters car, four parts later and I'm out my extra cash and all my free time, over crap in the radiator. Oh well, I got in a few parts and my pumper carb should be in any day.

Sounded like a good time Jerry!

Yea, busy doesn't describe it properly. 22 days straight working, I took a day off today just to keep my sanity. No time or energy for much else right now, but I will get it done here soon. I just need a solid day with no distractions or other priorities.

I am rather grateful my friend helped me get my VFR on the road because my truck went from unsafe to undriveable, so I have been using the VFR for everything this last 3 weeks. At least the overtime has given me the funds to fix the truck, but I have no time for it. I towed it over to my uncles house so he can do the weld repair for me and get it back on the road since I don't have the time, and he is a professional welder with 40 years experience.

This year sure has been one heck of a roller coaster

Wow you are covered up, I just got a few thing done on my bike but I'm not feeling 100% motivated about working more when I'm off work right now.

Glad to hear you got enough money to fix the truck...I'm sure your excited about having something else to work on...
