new user REO from GA

Hi everyone ,

I'm new here, I 'm in Cummming, Georgia . Originally i came to collect information about the 250 Hawk and see how reliable is the machine. Thank you all the people that contribute and shows how to make (everything ) the posts are really helpful.
I read some post about tagging the Hawk . My original idea WAS 1) buy a Hawk for my son , tag it and give him some freedom to go to school or visit friends , no far away places (less than 30 miles).
i'm a rider too but i 've a C50. I 'am not very lucky with the Tag & Tax office answer about the Hawk . First they toldme that i need to get a VIN # to verify if they can tag it and after i get the VIN they toldme that they can't Tag the Hawk because is not a legal vehicle to use on the US road.
seems to not have any other option that buy other more expensive
thanks again
REO

Welcome Aboard. Georgia has been a kind of hit and miss for getting it tagged. It all depends on where you go. There are other Hawk type enduro's that are 49 state legal like the Bashan Enforcer, BMS CRP250 that are close to the same price range. If you read through the Registration Issues you will see how some were able to get registered.
