I have always meant to ask, what are the differences between this bike and the new CSC "cafe racer"?

$2400 vs $1700?
I don't know anything about the CSC Cafe Racer. Google both bikes and see the difference. |

Took a ride out to the ranch to feed the cows and donkeys. The donkeys were not so keen on the moto as they had never seen one before but they got use to it when they smelled the sweet feed.
60 MPH on speedometer is 57 MPH on GPS app, not bad. Miss not having a trip odometer but it does have reserve on the petcock. It does have a choke. Just found it on the carb. She moves right along. She is going to be more fun in the mountains of WNC than in flat Florida. Last edited by Barnone; 02-26-2019 at 03:17 PM. |

What tires came with the bike and do they seem like decent quality so far?

Really cool bike, Barnone. Nice to see others getting the stuff we in CA can only drool over!

The choke is on the carburetor and I didn't know it existed until I saw it one day. It has three positions and I had been running on half choke since I put the bike together. As you can guess it really wakes up when it is running with the choke off. WOW
The tires are the Cordial brand. Changed the taillight to a retro one. |

Sold it last fall to a Russian from NYC that had it picked up from me in WNC and taken to LA for an addition to a rental fleet. $300 a day.
Wanted to try a lighter weight sidecar rig. Thought about putting a sidecar on my TU but found the RE at a great price, almost the same as adding a sidecar to my TU. Gonna haul it along with the DF to the mountains in a few months where both will be much more fun to ride than here in Southwest Florida. |

- On that sidecover deal ,HD Sportsters have one side cover that is notorious for flying off ,the problem literally went on for years ,to the point YouTube has a veritable plethora of Videos showing how to zip tie that cover down to avoid the issue .
It really didn't matter if the retainer clips were properly engaged or not ,it would still fly off at speed with alarming regularity , I suspect your experience may be a similar situation , if there is a way to add a little zip tie magic as backup in an unobtrusive manner I'd highly recommend it .

I did put a zip tie on it as I said in my previous message.
