Didn’t want to hijack OneLeggedRiders post but I did borrow the theme. Sideways iPhone pic again, but you get the point.

Bittersweet story.
I bought my father-in-law a Hawk a couple years ago. He had stage 4 colon cancer and was intrigued by the Hawk's price to fun ratio before getting sick so I surprised him with a crate to his door. When father's day rolled around, he had arranged for one delivered to my door.
Before he passed, we got to assemble his bike together and get it running bone stock. He rode it less than 20 actual miles before becoming too sick to even go out to the garage again. I bought his from my mother in law for peanuts and have already ordered the bearings, sprockets, jet kit, oil cooler blah blah blah. Now, I just have to remember how to do all the mods I did to mine a couple years ago. I remember the worst offenders were the loose sprocket (thanks Megadan!!!) and seized rear bearing inner races from the axle nut being torqued too tightly.

It is nice to know that you both got to t least spend time together assembling the bike, and that he at least got to ride it a little bit.
