Sam...they will figure out who is a good dealer and who isn't. IMO they need to be careful who gets to sell these bikes. A little attention to detail could go a very long way towards keeping people happy.

I actually have mixed feelings when it comes to Wheeling Cycle. On one hand, they tried to rectify the situation with a sprocket and chain ( and honestly the chain they gave me seems way better than the one that was stock) but I don't think they took me seriously.

I get pissed off when people insult my intelligence and/or treat me like a moron. I DO HAVE LUCID MOMENTS.

In any case, I have almost 2500 km on this sucker and have finally learned to accept the vibrations. All my lights work, it burns no oil, the wheels need trued but oh well.

If they had any sense they would hire me as their official american lifan salesperson. I could have sold two of them today.

ah well. I am in scheme mode....i gonna figure out a way to get into selling these things. tooo many people are approaching me at the freakin' gas station...its ridiculous!!!!!

edit: please note that it is saturday night and I am not beer #7 and occasionally have delusions of grandeur....

imagine that ejcycle,
they wanted me to be a dealer as well, "but", but told me (when i asked them about parts and warranty) plus service, to get any of the above i will need to have sold on record with them in there files at a minimum of three Lifans,
back then i was just getting started in the business and did'nt know much about all and any of this.
the very best to you

Funny thing... I signed up with them in February of 2005, with Jason the old owner and Damon & Jen were the Reps. that signed me up. I still talk with Damon, I know he will get a kick out of this one!!!!!! I had an agreement with Damon {in 2005}, that when they {A.L.} had floor planning with Textron, who was my floor/loan co. at the time I would start buying. Well this didn't happen because Textron Dropped all of the smaller motorsport/powersport companies. I talked with Peter in February of 2006 and put in my first order at The Indianapolis Dealer Expo. I have no hard feeling with Peter because he isn't getting my messages.

I didn't ever hear that a Dealer for them had to sell three bikes before they could get parts... What a Crock!!!

I just don't see why parts are an issue with them...DOn't they make money off of them also....Buisness is buisness. Who turns down money?

as pissed off as I was about my sprocket and vibration issues, I've still sent several people to wheeling cycle because they were interested in these bikes. I figure that ought to cover the sprocket change they did under warranty. I just wish I knew whether those sprocket bolts were tightened when the bike was delivered. I keep imagining what one of those bolts might do if it had flown off. I reckon I got lucky. What annoys me, is that some folks think I am lying.

Bruce, I am sorry if anything I did or said contributed to the hard feelings between you and AL. :(

Zapkin

Don't worry about it, I don't care if you had anything to do with it or not. This came from the inside, I have been waiting for parts for over three months, the only person that would take my calls was David and for the last Three Business days {Thursday, Friday & Monday} They will not answer the phones when I call. I know this as a fact, because the phone lines where busy a few times when I was trying to get through.
