Phone Mounts?
What does everyone use for a phone mount? I have never found a mount I trusted off road. I have a RAM system for my ZUMO, and it is ok, but I don"t see anything I would trust my phone with.

off road? definite problem. I use a ram x-mount on my street bike and it works fine. I think you'd be best to keep it in your pocket for off-road. what do you use it for that you need it mounted?

Exercise people that go jogging with their phone their phone strap their phone to their arm. It looks like a small fanny pack with a clear screen so you can see phone (or GPS) screen, but with a small Velcro strap for your arm, not your waist. That small strap fits nicely around the handle bar where it clamps to the fork. I have used this with RX3 and RX4 with good results. It protects the phone (or GPS) from dust and rain and it cushions the device as well.

I've had this on all my bikes. It's a drop-in dock, so super convenient when commuting and doing errands. Just pop it in and out, charges while docked. You have to push upward pretty hard to make the phone come out. You can also add an additional retention cover that is impossible to just fall out.

I have this one on my TW200 yamaha.
I use it for my GPS but occasionally use it for my phone. Works great for both. Haven't tried it on my Apollo. Usually know where I'm going when on it.

Under 4 bucks and it can hold your wallet also or anything else small you need to store. Actually this one has $7 for shipping but they have other selling with free shipping. If I remember correctly I was looking a few weeks ago and they were under 5 bucks with free shipping. Just have to search it out. |
