Tao Tao 125 wont start

I have a Tao Tao 125 four wheeler. It won’t start. It turns over and pops every few seconds. I have replaced the carb and plug. When I take the plug out and turn it over the plug sparks really well.
When I bought it it ran fine but the next day it would not start
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Check the valves... if badly out of spec, this can happen; particularly if you have strong spark, good fuel input and solid compression.

My bike does same thing, used to do what you’re post says but NOW, after new wire harness entirely, new plug, cdi, killswitch, headlight and turn signal switches, coil and wiring to every component r/r is a 5pin, as is stator, and CDI is DC. All she does is turn over. No spark period. I’ve adjusted the timing, it is good. Double checked the valves too. Maybe a main bearing? It has leaked fluid from under case, just below the split case in the middle.
