Broken seat bracket

Started noticing the front of my seat seemingly awful loose, next thing you know that front bracket isn't even holding the front of the seat down.Took the seat off and seen that the bracket on the front was breaking.Bent it back together and tried to spot weld it without melting the plastic area there where the rivets hold the bracket.I got it temporarily fixed but will have to do something different when it breaks again.Still pondering what else I can do to strengthen it up.

Might just drill those rivets out so I can get the bracket off to maybe weld it up better.Replace with a carriage bolt and nut.My welder goes down to 25 amps but still too much other than a spot weld on such thin material.

You can probably get a piece of a little thicker flat bar at Home Depot and make your own bracket easy enough .
