Venom/Apollo 125 Leaking Oil by Engine Chain Sprocket

Our bike started to leak oil.

It was sprayed around by the chain and the oil filler drain plug is tight and no leaks.

I initially thought it was from this tube by the shock, as we’d just changed the oil and I thought maybe too much had been put in and the tube was for crankcase ventilation.

Today as it was warming up I could see a puddle forming under the bike and it was coming out behind the cover where the chain sprocket is on the engine.

I removed the cover and restarted the bike and no more oil coming out.

Any ideas?

Is that plug even supposed to be on the tube? That's the crankcase breather and if it is plugged ...

(the manual just says to unziptie the tube - not a thing about the plug and it's a solid plug ...)

I’m thinking this might be the cause ...

It was so tight it was kinked.

I believe the length of tubing may be too short - you can see how it hangs when freed from the bracket. (Second picture is too large to upload but clearly shows the tube hangs nowhere near the bracket on its own).
