Need your input on purchase

I am planning on buying the ultimate adventure touring bike. I have narrowed it down to two choices, and can't decide. Help me out here.

I personally prefer the Dax (CT70) to the monkey bike, but the Dax appears to be sold out? What sort of adventure are we talking about, circus attraction?

OMG finally someone with a sense of humor.....inspired by these guys, but Hondas are too capable, no challenge. Love the Trail 125.

Actually I just want a little city-use bike. The 125cc CT70 clone would do nicely, with carb upgrade of course. Both are sold out but are due back in stock quite soon.

The 125cc CT70 clone would be the better choice just because of the larger wheel size.

Agreed; and you can even upgrade to 12" wheels BTW, if you want to. Along with the 190cc upgrade, better suspension.....but by then you probably shoulda just bought a different bike!

After you will complete your adventure on one of these, you need to contact Honda's marketing department. They will be glad to create a new touring model, 2023 Honda Winged Monkey, using your experience. ))))

Winged monkeys would be a bad image for Honda. Or have you not seen The Wizard of Oz?

Actually, Wizard of Oz was the thing i though about, when proposing the name
Maybe that bike does need a bit of badboy image - it worked for Harley

Well come to think of it, the Monkey bikes do have the Honda winged logo on them. A subliminal message perhaps?

Man I love it when a thread can go horribly off the rails.....

Jokes aside, considering they both have the same Cub-style 125cc engine, and in case if they have the same frame size and wheelbase, i would choose the second one. Classic monkey design looks aesthetically a bit more appealing to me than the first one, but that's just a matter of personal preferences.

Oh man....you have no idea how many times I've looked at these ultimate ADV touring units. The problem is the child inside me is surrounded by a massive bundle of fat and beer belly. I'm not sure the little auto-clutches would not start a fatal smoking habit.
