Upgrading front sprocket? KPR 200
Im thinking about putting a 17 tooth sprocket into the front of my kpr 200 with the stock rear. Is the 428 chain ok for these bikes with that ratio? Has anyone tried this? I notice the 15 t front that comes with it has a metal edge to the inner part of the sprocket that the others I got did not. Will that cause any wobble with the chain?

1) Yes, the 428 chain is fine with the amount of hp that the KPR puts out. I would advise a good quality Japanese 428 chain, if you want to upgrade it.
2) Yes, I tried the 17t sprocket and I didn't care for it because the bike just doesn't have enough hp to push it with that high of gearing. Although Jim a member on here is running a 17t I believe and likes it. I have a 16t on mine. 3)No, the replacement sprocket won't cause a wobble because it's thinner than the original sprocket, if anything it may make a tiny bit more vibration into the foot pegs, but I haven't really noticed it.

Herbie's right - I'm running a 17 tooth and like it. Most of my daily commute is highway miles and it does great and is averaging just over 102mpg.
