Hope that helps...
SpeedSouth - does your box block any of your tail/brake light?

I was thinking of ordering that box as well and am worried that it may prevent people from seeing my lights.

How about you action packers, have you noticed if this is a problem?

Not much of a problem. The light is far enough below that nothing is blocked.

I posted this pic in a similar thread a while back. These are XLS brand bags off of E-bay, they cost under $50... I'm not so sure they were worth it as I've had to repair them several times (I don't mind, with an awl it only takes a few minuets). They are actually way too big. Seriously, I could carry a weeks worth of laundry in them and still have room for groceries! They do fit the bike very well though.

OK Guys, here my luggage. It looks very much like kczukiman's, just the mounting is different. Same boxes, but I gave mine 3 coats of spray on truck bed liner (wally world). It hold up pretty good to dings, but really shows off dust. I might try the roll on next time. Or, I might buy the camo version of the boxes if I can find them cheap enough.

I bent some steel strap to fit over my rack, and attached the strap using these:

The boxes are just bolted to the strap. I used big fender (could probably be bigger) washers:

To finish I added a cross bar between the two boxes, and top it off with some self-sticky reflectors (you can see where the clamps are attached to the rack, they're the shiny bolts):
</img>

Overall I think they look pretty good. I'll have to see how they hold up though...

Total cost about $50, but could be done for less if you just buy what you need. i bought a lot of everything.
