has anyone seen a pilot jet like this?

anyone seen a pilot jet like this? its from a sheng wey pd3 carb, i have yet to test out the carb itself but the other two (stock one and a "mikuni") needed a richer pilot jet, but because i like this carb the best i wanted to find the parts for this one to make this one work

My original carburetor had that same jet. I was not able to find a larger one so I replaced the carburetor. Good luck finding one.

Should be a normal Keihin pilot jet. I get mine at Chaparral as they're relatively close to me.

For all a new Mikuni costs, it's worth it to just replace the carb. I replaced my Sheng Wey (Keihin clone) with a 24mm Mikuni and there is no comparison. The Mikuni just seems to work better all the way through the rev range than the "Keihin" ever did. I think I paid about 25 bucks for it on Ebay.

food for thought...

Phil

Are you sure it's an actual Mikuni? What I'm seeing on e-bay look like chinese knockoffs. (Yes I know....complaining about a chinese knockoff on this site is ironic)

Definitely a Mikuni. Got it on ebay from a place called TecoParts. They're out of Hong Kong and it shipped pretty quick.

Everything from Hong Kong is "genuine", but that is a knockoff carburetor. I have two of them. One has a 38 pilot jet and the other has a 40. What size are you looking for?

Also from trying to tune the carburetor before I found one with a actual Mikuni style pilot jet I found the main jets where not accurate in there marked sizes.

I cannot seem to locate any documentation on the Mikuni website for these "genuine" Mikuni carbs. Perhaps they're just Mikuni "style"?
