Mormon cricket picture for Spud
Taken a couple of years ago in Yellowstone National Park. I have the head mounted in the living room. Used a .30- '06. Usually a little light for the crickets, but it was handloaded to maximum pressure with a 180 grain Nosler Partition bullet.

Doc, I will grant you this, the Mormon Cricket is much uglier, and better armored than the Idaho grasshopper. 8O However, I do not believe it is larger! Do you have an un-retouched photograph showing the Mormon Cricket next to a human, or some other object, to provide a proper scale reference for its size? Please note, I have provided an un-retouched photograph of an Idaho grasshopper next to my Zongshen motorcycle.
