The springtime weather has been beautiful the last few days, so I took several rides on my Zong. I thought you might enjoy some photos.
After I mount the new, lower fork protectors on my Zong, all the functional modifications to my bike will be complete! I have now ridden 23,500 miles on my Zongshen 200GY-2 motorcycle; it is a great little bike. If you have not voted, please do so, and help me choose a color for my new, lower fork protectors. Spud

The weather was beautiful last week, and I did a lot of riding; in the process I passed 24,000 miles on my Zong's odometer.
I found a great deal on some silver, Acerbis, lower fork protectors. Should I keep the fork protectors silver, or should I paint them another color with Krylon Fusion? Here are un-retouched photos of the silver fork guards. Here are retouched photos simulating the appearance of the black fork guards. Finally, here are retouched photos simulating the appearance of the orange fork guards. Please cast a vote, and help me decide. Spud

black is the way to go, from the pics you can see you ll get a better distribution of colours, it ll seem more colour coordinated that way.

L'Orange, and voted as such. No reason, other than personal preference.

Ah heck.....as much as most everything I own in black.....including my daily dress, I had to go with the orange. Even Herb Tarlick's white belt matched his white shoes! 8)

Several days ago I finished trimming, and mounting my Acerbis lower fork protectors. I then went for a ride, and took the following photographs.
The lower fork guards are securely mounted, and I am happy with the final result. Therefore, I am ready make the final color selection. These retouched photographs approximate the appearance of black, lower fork protectors. These retouched photographs approximate the appearance of KTM Orange, lower fork protectors. Finally, these un-retouched photographs show the current, silver, lower fork guards. My good friend Andy prefers the “stealth mode†appearance of the current, silver fork protectors. Is Andy correct, or would you choose another color? Please vote and let me know your ideas. Spud
