bad boy dirt bikes ???

I live in the BC Rockies, and I am thinking of buying a bike from this guy.

Seems legit, says I have to buy the bike, and a baja kit and bolt it all together. then certify it, and bobs your thumper?

I have an brilliant jobber to do the work, trust him with my life most days as it is, so why not eh?

I have never ridden before, I am 5'6" tall 200 lbs, any suggestions on which to buy?

Here is the link to his site

Thanks for any help. Jim

What do you mean by certify it? Are you talking about a provincial inspection so that you can register it for the road?

I am not certain but I think that ICBC and the transportation department may be putting a stop to the registration for road use of restricted use motorcycles, so you might want to see how the bike is imported... This topic is on the subject, http://chinariders.net/modules.php?n...ewtopic&t=9351 I don't think they will be doing anything to bikes already registered but it sounds like it might not be so easy anymore to take a RUM motorcycle and take inspection papers to the motor vehicle branch and get plates for it.

I would take a look in the for sale section. There is a few new/used/demo dualsports for sale from Saga. Good prices too. Already ready for the road with proper paperwork.

Those bikes from Saga are the last that they will have (at least for awhile). They're some of the rare dual sport bikes that were properly imported with Transport Canada approval for highway use.
