Mini ATV Battery Install w/ Part Number for Future Reference

Some of you may have read in another post that my Mini ATV battery was dying in my 50cc. After failing to win a few auctions on Gio, and needing the quad to be in operation for Wednesday I went big box store shopping to find one.

Those who have these Gio quads will know the batteries in the 50cc Mini Atv, (now the 110cc Mini ATV) the Mini Beast and the Mini Hummer are rediculously small.

I hit up the biggest Wal-Mart in my area, and after opening every Energizer box to measure the contents, found the smallest one they had was still 2" taller and 1.5" longer than the original.

Off to Canadian Tire I go (swearing all the way)... I was shocked to find a very helpful parts guy, who pulled out the book and we found one which is very much an exact measurement match to the original Gio battery. Only issue I had is it has a overflow tube that extends out of the top side of the battery which I had to chop a bit to get it to fit past the frame mount. Otherwise the fit, while snug, is darn near perfect.

Box with part number for future reference:

Thanks!

From the pics, that looks just like LiLo, my ATV-58. So the good thing is I needed a battery! Cheers.

I think the list price was $49, and with taxes ended up being $55.

I was fine with that, if I bought a replacement crappy one from Gio it still would've been up around $40, and I expect this Motomaster will be better.

I agree. I replaced my ATA-250 one last year when I unexpectedly cooked it. Survived the winter wheras the ATA-125 one died.

Canadian Tire also has a sale on 12V automotive electronic battery chargers you may want to look at.

thanks for this info. Found one in Ancaster (Ontario) after finding none in Paris, or Brantford.

Charging now.
