Agreed! I'll keep my beloved CG as is with no added complexity, thankyouverymuch.

In my experience so far...

All of my non-balanced CG's are like a blender until they're broke in, then smooth out pretty well.....or I adjust to it. The non-balanced motor also seems a very quiet running motor, mechanically.

The counterbalanced motor was really nice out of crate, noticeably smoother than the non-balanced....and has gotten a little smoother now that it's broke in, especially at speed....but it is more mechanically noisy.

I'm not too worried about the chain drive oil pump since some older Lifan's have gotten a boatload of miles (50k) out of them prior to needing a chain.

Trade offs.... Six-a dozen....half another uh one....

What do you know! Someone agrees with me. I've been going through a batting slump the last few days.

Have you had any contact with "V Bike USA" out of Edmond? They are a bit closer to me and seem to have a good Ebay rating.

I installed a front tubless Shinko 705 with the inner tube that the Hawk came with.I put around 500 miles on it with no issues.

Yes, you can mount and use tubless tires on the Hawk, so long as you use a tube with it. The air leaks out of the spoke holes which is why you need inner tubes.

I want to use as much as I possibly can, but, not so much that my crank is splashing in it. If 1.6 quarts isn't a misprint, that's what I will use.
Adam this is from another thread started by pcspecialist. I also know that Motocheez only uses one quart and after changing the oil in my Hawk it does seem, on the dipstick anyway, that one quart is right where it should be. Can you shed any light on how much oil we are actually supposed to be using?

Approximately a quart, more or less. There is a window gauge to see how much is in there, you should try to keep the level approximately halfway between the bottom and top of the gauge.

According to the http://therps.net/ website, the specifications show 0.26 gallons of oil which is 1.04 quarts. Not sure why the manual says 1.60?

If you have a sight glass, trust it. The only purpose for my China dipsticks is to plug the hole after I've added oil. The dipsticks have been quite dishonest with me.

Dipsticks can cause troubles and seem to have a mind of there own.

Same engine as Cleveland Cycleworks Heist ?

Is the engine in the Hawk 250 roughly the same 250 Chinese engine Cleveland Cycleworks uses in the their Heist model ? I need to know for performance parts purposes .
