Not every Canadian would know the name of Confederation Bridge. When I drove the 8 miles across it, I noticed that there were only two lanes and no pull-outs for trouble. After I made it across, I noticed that I was running on fumes.
It's free to drive across to PEI, but they charge you to leave the island. I suspect that's their plan to increase the population.

that way they don't tick off visitors on the way in, which means people on the island don't have to listen to the grumbling. once they are on the way out....who cares!

Finished up today. Finally.

The rats' nest. And the surgery I performed for the reset button.

The pickup bracket and one of the two magnets.

It took Superman and his kid to separate those two little buggers, yet they barely stuck to the rotor hub. I ended up drilling a 10mm recess in the heads of a pair of M8 bolts for the magnets to sit in. They ain't going nowhere now.

I just rode down to the gas station and back to check the calibration and it is pretty good. I gassed up, zeroed the trip odo, and rode back home. It's one half mile from the gas pump to my garage door and that's what I got. I'll check it against my GPS later this week.

The mess in the garage was epic.

epic garage messes seem to be common. I made an epic mess just installing a pair of holeshots on my C10 today!

Sport Rider is right, I gotta have something else to do.

One of the original magnet bolts I made is on the bottom, One of the new ones I made on the lathe at the shop on top. Started with a 10mm drill bit and finished with 3/8" end mill. Looks better.

Compared the new speedo to the GPS today. Pretty pleased. Up to 45 mph, it's dead nuts on. Above 45, it gets a bit light. Reads 49 and GPS is showing 51. I'll leave it for now.

Illinois Railroad Museum Transportation Show yesterday. For once, I wasn't the only sidecar rig. Nice one liter Guzzi sharing my space.

More pics.

1949 Dodge Rail Inspection Car

Vee Dub on an S10 chassis.

Best car there IMHO. Mikrus from Poland.

Mikrus steering wheel. Screams Citroen.

Mikrus engine. 2 cylinder 2 stroke that makes almost 15 hp.

Even with that tiny engine, the Mikrus can make 90 kph with four passengers. Helps that the little poop only weighs about 800 lbs.

The owner of the Mikrus is friends with the guy I bought the Ural from.

Nice to see you're cross pollinating the ural. that guzzi's LL front end is identical to mine.

I'm amazed at how the guy next to the Mikrus is perfectly balanced, despite having only one leg.
