could be interesting.. theres a small thread on KiwiBiker about them at the moment... unfortunately all those wankers that have imported the chinese rubbish in the passed for a quick buck haven't made it easy for yer... Good luck....

Thanks for the link to your blog; I enjoyed seeing the rest of the story. I always knew the RX-3 was similar to the GS, but I hadn't seen them side by side. I look forward to following your updates. Please let us know when you update your blog.

Placed my order
I finally stopped stalking this site and pulled the trigger on pre-paying and ordering the RX-3 in Blue for my wife. I'll pick it up in Ca. when I get back around Mid-August.
Ryan at CSC was extremely patient and helpful. I ordered the bike with the optional elect outlets, center stand, factory installed nitrous-oxide injection, and extra running lights. Unfortunately for me, I'm going to miss Baja this year and I'm praying it'll be an annual event. (I'm REALLY praying it'll be an annual event). I'm eagerly awaiting the post ride report to see if the pace is casual enough to see what's on the side of the road. I've got a feeling Mr. Ed's Moto in Salem Oregon is going to be re-doing the seat. He's a genius. I had him do my BMW F650GS and his craftsmanship, stitching, and end result are well worth it. |

On that note, I live near the Oregon Dunes and have shopped for many bikes, but I'll never buy a used bike that's pictured with a paddle tire because I know it's been flogged. I'm sure someone'll get on here and tell me they've got paddle tires on their bikes and they don't beat them, but........ok. I see this as a good entry level for my wife to go further afield than the stock TW goes, (but TW's are awesome bikes). If Yamaha would just make a 400cc version with a bigger tank (and put the kickstarter back on), I'd probably never buy another bike. I like the looks of the Zong and what I'm hearing though. |
