Took her for a spin.. i'd say all in all, this increased the tension about 20%.. it will still bottom out but not as bad or as easy as before.

You could add another 25ml to firm it up a little more. Just don't exceed the 320 ml as specified. I'm not real familiar with the USD forks. On standard forks you usually measure the oil level with the fork compressed from the top of the fork to the oil. Franque may be more helpful on the USD forks.

Yep, same thing. Fork all the way compressed, without the spring in it, to check the oil height. I'd leave at least an 85-100mm air gap at the top.

I tell you though, im a sucker for a hard lesson learned lol.. kinda embarassing to mention but this morning was another fail when i grabbed one of the fork legs to remove the bottom bolt and get rid of the teflon tape and took a shortcut not realizing the consequence.. so i turn it upside down and go to remove the bolt.. easy peasy, until woosh, i hear the rod inside fly down and have an oh shit moment..
Well, let me tell you, i now know first hand how these forks look like when disassembled lol as i had to remove the top cap, the top spacer which has the black rubber section, the spring, a washer and then another spacer piece thats about 4 inches long.. i then compressed it and pushed the rod back down, removed the teflon tape from the bolt and blue locktighted it back nice and snug.. unfortunately by doing this i had to drain out best i could the new fork oil and then refill again.. needless to say, the second fork leg went off without a hitch lol
I know i didnt get all of the new oil out before adding ack in 275ml and then noticed that it was slightly stiffer than the other fork leg. i decided to add another 20ml to the other leg and they seem equal.. but i think i may have to do a measurement as you suggested at some point.. for now, im washing my hands (literally and figuratively) of the forks for a bit

That's how we learn by our mistakes. You posting this will help keep others from making the same mistake. It's all good.
