Nice Ninjette.
I would like to see some photos of people's bikes with fuel cans attached because I'm planning hurricane evacuation and I want to put a 3 gallon or more tank on the rack. That would give me a 300-mile range to get out of the way of any hurricane.

There's a chunk of metal welded in between the rails of the luggage rack on the side, with bolt holes drilled in it. This makes a bracket on the luggage rack.
I have a 15/16ths threaded rod that I cut up. I have a nut and washer on each side of this that secures it to the luggage rack bracket. The other end of the 15/16ths rod is welded to some scrap metal that my cousin had lying around. That's the bracket that the bags attach to. There are 4 8mm bolts, one in each corner of that bracket, that secure the bag to that bracket. To quickly remove the bags, I remove the 15/16ths nuts from the luggage rack bracket. It's a very effective/quick setup. Any more questions? Was that clear? |

I looked at all my local shops first though...hoping to find a set I could look at before buying, but as luck would have it, I didn't find any until after mine arrived...and they were in my closest "redneck" Wal-Mart. Good looking bags, better price....not sure if they fit as well though. The bags are designed for ATV's, so you'll need to keep that in mind during a search. Hope that helps.

No problem....just look at my post in the thread you started requesting pics of mounts. As you will see, I was the only person to post a reply in that thread. http://chinariders.net/modules.php?n...ewtopic&t=4763

I used some j-shaped bolts found at tractor supply I think.
Just hooked them around the factory rack. Two at the back and one at the front. Required about 2 minutes of drilling and I used a grinder to cut the excess off the bolts. Allen
