I watched some of it, but a little tired gonna head to bed... Tied 2 2 going into over time right now, but I'll have to see how it turns out tomorrow.

The Abbotsford game was on the radio at 4, so I wasn't tired then :P

Actually... thinking about this now... If I do go to sleep and they win I will probably be woken up if the crowds head down to south fraser way for the honking parade, is that after every playoff game or only the ones that decide if they win the series?

I had a headache most of yesterday and it was getting worse at the end of the day, that's most of why I didn't want to stay up... Shortly after I went to bed I heard a lot of noise outside so I guess the Canucks must have won, congrats.

Yes they did. They should have won before OT I thought but that's the way it goes. Luongo made a rediculous stop in OT as well, hope he keeps that stuff up. He's never inspired that much confidence in me.

AHL hockey is a good deal for the entertainment dollar.
We live about 30 mins west of Hamilton, so when the Marlies play the Bulldogs, we go see those games. A bit of rivalry there :P

This is my favourite time of year. The weather is perfect, not too cold, not too hot, riding season is in full swing, and there's hockey on every night - playoff hockey.

Looks like the Canucks had good games the last 2 nights, the Heat had a good game last night, but not on Wednesday, both teams are still in At the Heat games they keep you updated on other AHL playoff game scores, as well as NHL games, especially the Canucks.

Canucks move to next round versus Blackhawks. It's going to be bloody. The Hawks beat us out last year and it was a dirty series, none more so than the Ladd/Kesler scenario. See what Ladd did to Kesler last year in the playoffs, notice there is not even a puck in site:

..and the aftermath in a game they played this year:

Kesler then called him a 'coward' after the game and said at least he was 'brave enough to hit me when I was looking this time."

Pretty funny stuff it'll be good.

I'll look forward to it.
The playoffs have been too tame so far.
I want to see some hitting :P

I've renamed this topic professional hockey. Congrats to Canucks on round 1, and good luck to the Heat on game 7 in progress!

Should be good! Kesler/Ladd is only one sidebar. The Hawks were falling all over Luongo last year too. This is the one matchup I've been waiting for all year, even though we could lose it.

Abbotsford came back from a 3 - 1 Rochester lead in the series to win in game 7 on the road 2 nothing, they're moving on to round 2 as well
