That blog is one of my favorite posts.

I may have to do another one ("Why a 450") in another year or so, but I still like the 250s best for serious exploration.
Thank for posting your blog, haven't read this one. Awesome pic, seems to have movement from a still photo!

That quote from your friend Bob just about says it all, "It’s light, it’s fast enough, it’s small enough that you can pick it up when it falls, you can change tires on it easily, you can take it off road, you can get across streams, and it gets good gas mileage."

I have my 250 enduro now and I will be in line for the AWESOME 450 to come from CSC!

It's called panning. You select a relatively slow shutter speed and then you track a moving object while pressing the shutter (and you take a lot of photos, hoping one or two will turn out). I suspect that photo above had a little help from Photoshop. Here's one using the technique I shot at night in Luoyang on the recent RX3 ride across China...

Suzuki now Kawasaki getting into the small ADV market...
Yamaha will be along sometime with there 321cc twin R3 motor in
a ADV bike if the rumors are correct..

Not heard anything from Honda... they have the motor.. will
there be a bike built around it.... knowing Honda it will be there
CBR300 with wider handle bars & a X sticker on it somewhere...
seems to be the way honda think these days..
Honda do have a blinged up CRF250L coming out in 2017
and it's wareing googles.......

The good thing for the RX3 is it's prise should still give it a viable market share..

CSC Dude, Joe,

Will the RX3 be Euro 4 compliant?

As far as I know, no Chinese bikes are.

My next bike

I've just read the reviews of two new bikes. I'll be purchasing one of these within the next 2 months.
1. 2017 BMW G310GS- 34hp, 330lbs.
2. 2017 KTM 390 Duke- 44hp, 329lbs.
Light weight and nice horsepower numbers.
Plus some degree of off road usage and fuel tanks with larger capacity.
Both offer easily obtainable parts, service, accessories, and service manuals that can be read and understood. And they both have modern technology and a warranty that doesn't have to be tracked down in a foreign land to obtain service.
I know that they cost more than Chinese bikes, but modern and up to date technology costs more than old tech!
I'll be posting photos when I make the purchase.

The small ADV market has now been taken to another level...
Zongshen had there moment in the sun.....
Hope they can keep deveoping there bikes to keep up with the play..
But these are the brakes when yer want to play with the big boys..

A 300 /321cc twin cyclinder ADV bike would work quite well here as
our max speed limit is 100kmph " 60mph"

Wheres the Blue team....??
