Way to repurpose lighting; good idea. I'd certainly replace the cast pipe before it becomes trouble. Does the new 2" pipe take the water away from the washer now?

No problems with the 2 inch pipe. When I cut up the old 1 1/2 pipe it was partially clogged with rust chunks.
We did good on the plumbing job. My usual cashier at ACE told me the average plumbing job is 3.8 trips. We did in 3. The local building supply knows me by first name. I have only been in town 2 weeks.

It's that way at the local Rona hardware store for me. I get "Hey, how's your bathroom reno coming along?"

My door came in. Looks like I can install it tomorrow.
Today the girls and I did a perimeter check with the tractor. Pond is frozen over. Found location for the treehouse. Then I fixed the light in the carport. Culprit was a bad switch. Also for tomorrow is putting the swingset back up getting my chairs on the porch so that I can watch the cows.

Got the old track lighting up in the shop. I can see better now. Since Buford is moving in tomorrow the girls and I built him a cat condo. He has a bedroom, porch and a mailbox. His condo is inside the shop. I have the sliding door tied shut with a brick for a spacer. That leaves enough room for Buford, but not enough for dogs.

He even has mail waiting in his box. Just letters since cats can't open envelopes.
I may move his house to the carport after he gets adjusted.

He is home. Checking out his new space. He seems to like it here. We introduced him to his food dish.

We left him in the shop. Went out two hours later and he was still in there. I put a light up so that he could see his space and get used to it.
I found some pictures of the past week. Felt like I was on one of the reality shows. The big girls room. Before. After. Toy room after a repaint. Opening presents after Santa found the right house. Working on painting the living room ceiling. Previous owners smoked. It took 4 coats to make it look okay. The lines on the ceiling are from the nicotene stains around the old track lighting.

My Mom did most of the painting. She likes to do it and brought of bunch of free paint from the recycler.
Grandpa made this tire swing.

My parents like it here. Much warmer than Minnesota. They have staked out a place to build their winter home.
