I just bought that fender last night, and not for my TW. I only bought it because it was nearly free at Motorcycle Superstore, and I intend to paint it black for the TS185. It'll be up for sale soon, so I want to pretty it up.

I'm gonna (eventually) try the Krylon Fusion Patriotic Blue on my TW plastics and see how it turns out. I'll be sure to report.

This is fun!

You'll do well when you sell that 185, Weld. I assume the plan is to invest in the KLR? I LOVE the KLR 250's. It was my desire to buy one of those as my first D/S back in the 80's. I wound up choosing the KLR650, mostly because of availability.

Spud.

The Yamablue looks bada$$. Dark and aggressive. It is sure to add some power to the Zong, at least a couple HP.

It's a YAMAzong. Not a ZongTM.

Blue.

That's our plan. We're trying very hard to make our habit self-supporting, so the funds will go towards bikes or the shop. Our primary target is the KLR, and Son of Weldangrind has his heart set on the Supermoto look, despite the KLR not being an ideal platform for that.

I like the self-supporting hobby philosophy. That's the way I am with the dirt bikes, more or less.

You may recall I started with an old XR100 a few years ago. Now I have the YZ.

SOWAG will enjoy the KLR in whatever form he choses, but I bet as he gets more experiance he'd prefer the D/S bikes.

Facts is facts.

Yamazong.

Yamablue.

When you put a KTM engine in, then paint it orange.

I'm just sayin'...

(Sorry I accidently screwed up your post, Spud. Meant to hit 'quote' must have hit 'edit' by mistake...)

I love the self supporting hobby philosophy, I'm not very good at it though, I always buy sky high and sell for a loss

I did well on the KLR trade though, I traded a bike I never used anymore (shame really, it was a beautiful bike!) for one I use all the time, and only had to come up with a little cash to boot. I like deals like that!

We're slowly and purposefully moving in that direction. We started with the MX175 that was free (and worth every penny). We bought a front sprocket and an air filter for it, then we traded it for the XL250S and cash! The guy was convinced that our bike was better, so he gave us an extra $20.00. We sold that for $700.00, and bought the TS185, the TS250, the KLR250 and the TW200 with the money. The TS185 is on the block soon, and it will make the other three bikes nearly free. Once the KLR250 is done, the TS250 will be up for sale, and the cycle continues...
