Day #6

Got my scooter from Powersportsbest! Picked it up at the dock so I would not have to wait for delivery. I would have had to wait till Friday for a delivery time that would work for both of us. Arrived in great shape ready to run except the rear view mirrors. Started second try. Now to change the oil and get it tagged.....

Oh, and get my motorcycle learners permit too.....

Picking up from the dock works better sometimes. We have an old dominion dock 15 minutes away.

Been busy around here so sorry for the delay. Yes, picked up the package at the dock. It was a little scary once I saw the pallet with the item. Looked like it got hit from one side or the other, but then I noticed that the shrink wrap was straight so I figured the box collapsed some when it was shrink wrapped. Went ahead and lifted the box to make sure and all was good. Signed the shipping doc and went on my way.

Once I got home I went ahead and started to unwrap. You can tell in these photos that indeed the scooter did move forward on the pallet past the tire chaulks. It could have been bad if the kick stand managed to slip farther between the pallet slats. Good thing a fork lift tine did not find it. Got it off the pallet and down off the trailer, checked for any major defects from shipping. All was good.

Called today about the MCO and told them about the shipping issue. Tina said she would pass the info on to the shipping department. She also told me the MCO was in the mail and I should receive it soon.

I will try and do a update soon on the unit here http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=13969 .

I like the updated BWS look! Congratulations on your new bike!! When I ordered my bike and my friend's sister's bike from Excalibur, my friend and I did the PDI on the scooter. It got very frustrating at times, but once it was done, I feel confident I could put another BWS 50cc scooter together (it was a Lintex branded bike), as well as another TMEC 200 enduro. But seeing how easy your bike was to put together I think that might be the way to go next time

Thanks. I think it is a great looking scooter too. It looks like it is well built too. Turns out to be manufactured by Jonway.

We did receive the Verona 50 on Wednesday the 20th. I have been too busy to post so I hope to get some time this weekend to update.

The Verona arrived in perfect condition. We did put it together and it runs well.

Day #8

Well, finally got caught up a bit to post. We did pick up the Verona 50 on Wednesday night from the dock. Again it was because we would have to wait till Friday for home delivery do to my work schedule.

The item arrived in great shape. No damage at all to the box. We were happy to see that.

The scooter was packaged well in a steel frame. The frame unbolted so you could get to the scooter easily. We had to install the front shield, headlight assembly, handlebars and front tire. All went together easily and we had a completed scooter in just about a hour.

After we assembled the scooter we went ahead and changed out the motor oil and gear oil. Took a couple of turn overs to get it to start, but once started it ran great outside of a low idle.
