I'm pretty sure you got a DB-07A. Besides the rear brake rotor, the front wheel is the giveaway. You bike employs the same front wheel as my Zong.

The Roketa wheels have steel rims. The prices might be a little high, but at least you can get parts for your Roketa. The Lifan owners are having a more difficult time. :(

I'm going to see if an old set of XR200 rims I have will work. If the spoke count is the same, I'll consider lacing the Roketa hubs to the aluminum XR rims. I might even be able to get them powder coated first.

Spud, when you have time, please tell me the length of your Zong forks. I have two other sets of USD forks here, and they're dissimilar lengths. If yours are identical to mine, I'll be able to use the same fork oil volume you used.

Kato, I saw you recommend a 45 tooth sprocket in another thread; would that be best for 55mph? With what size CS sprocket?

Hi Weld,

that looks a great project!

Not sure the internal gearing is the same but I am running 17/45 gearing on my 200 pushrod engine and it is good for 55mph (and maybe a little more) whilst still being usable off road - a good compromise.

Weld, I would use a 45T rear. With that I could cruise at 55mph and it would go 60+. It also allows some offroad yet.

Thanks for the replies, guys. To confirm, you both think that a 17 CS sprocket is ideal with a 45 rear?

Sorry Weld, but I kinda found this a little funny. These were like $900 bikes, lucky you got wheels.

A couple years back I bought a Shineray dirt bike (engine donor), very similiar but not the dual sport like yours, might have some parts out in the shed that you could possibly use and have no value to me...post up what you might need and I'll take a look.

The newer lifans came with 17/46, I find this to be pretty good all around street / light trail gearing, max speed 60-65 MPH depending on wind and tide.

You're right, of course. I'm just glad that the wheels are round.

Side panels! Do you have any?

Drivers right side panel I have, NOT the left w/ the battery box. From the pics looks like you need the left battery side not the exhaust side panel.

17/45 seems to be a good combination. I tried a 42 rear and it was too tall unless you ride on the flat.

I have yet to install my 15 front to go with the 40 rear, but things like that tend to take time :P

I got the 15 rather than 16 due to its low cost.

It came with a 17/46; is it worth changing?

Congratulations! That bike was very lucky to find a good home with you, Weld.

Thanks, Spud.

Does anybody know if these motors have automatic cam chain tensioners? I have no experience with OHC China motors.
