Delivery of my Brozz

Here are a few pics. If I did this right.
I had to jet home from work for the delivery. It came
Early I was told 11-4. I wanted to blow off work and start unboxing and begin the build, but that will have to wait until later. It’s Red as you can see. I’d read on the forum they only had Green. But when I called to order I was informed Red was available.

For sure!

The bikes box was smaller than I expected and it fit in the garage easily. The delivery guys lift gate was small and falling apart. I helped getting it off the truck. I was envisioning a disaster.

I cut open the side and wedged the parts box free. Not as many nuts and bolts as I had envisioned. I forgot the battery was already installed and I’ll have to remove it to fill and charge.

My out for delivery confirmation as I’m typing. LOL

Assembled

I finally got the bike assembled. I was only able to work on it a little each night.
It was slow going by myself. I haven’t fired her up yet. I’ll be picking up fuel tomorrow and taking her for a shakedown ride if all goes well.

Question about the shifter. It appears loose with the bolt securely tightened. Is this normal?

I have always really liked the red on the Brozz. Not at all 'midlife crisis' and very classy!

With the bolt securely tightened,...the shift lever splines should be indeed tight on the shaft,...but you will still notice some play in the shaft and shift mechanism going into the motor.

There’s slop on the shifter lever to the shaft. I was attempting to push the lever farther onto the shaft. But in order for the screw to line up with the grove between splines I had to pull it back a bit. This shifter housing looks too long to me. If hangs out past the shaft. I’ll have to look at it again. I’ll take a picture tonight and post.

Thanks

[QUOTE=AJboughtamoto;327962]Yeah I thought the same, thats just how it .

Is your shifter loose onto the shaft as well?

It seems to shift fine . But I was concerned of if stripping eventually, do to the slop.

No it's not loose,I did have to tighten it a lot though. Its on the list of things to be replaced by a better one, I hit a stump and it bent into a U, it bent back but no telling how many times it will before it breaks.

Still considering one.. I'm also at 1000ft. If purchased, don't plan on changing the exhaust either. Good to know what jet to get for my altitude..

I'm interested how the OP makes out with his purchase..

Shifter

Here’s a pic . Is this the norm.
I can move the shifter in and out on the shaft. It won’t bite down. I’m afraid to turn it any more and strip it. You guys think I should crank it more?

That doesn’t appear to be installed correctly.Take the bolt completely out ,tap the shifter onto the shaft untill the end of the shaft is close to flush with the side of the shifter ,then reinstall the bolt again .If you take the shifter off the shaft ,there is a grove cut around the shaft that the shifter bolt goes into and it appears your bolt is not there yet .

Yeah, the side of the bolt will be touching the shaft. If you hold the shift lever and look through the hole, you will see that the bolt protrudes into the side. There is a rounded grove on the shaft. Put the shift lever on the shaft without the bolt in it. Then line up the grove and the bolt hole. Insert the bolt and put the nut on. Tighten until there is no more play. Hard to really describe in words. Once you see it, you will say "well son-of-a-gun".
