That is a great point. Hard to tell from the angle but I do believe you are correct.

Thanks for asking. That's a great question. The video I've been watching that is closest to the state of assembly mine arrived in doesn't give me enough info on that. They show the shock in what looks to be the same configuration mine's in but no indication that anything has to be done. Unless I've just missed it there doesn't seem to be a bolt either. With my level of experience I'm certain that its something I must be doing wrong/haven't done correctly. Does anyone have a link handy on how this done? Thanks guys!

Some pictures or even a video showing us the rear shock would likely be easier.

Rear Shock and me as a mechanic. Not pretty.....

Thank you so much. What you thought would be a stupid question may have saved me really screwing up. There sitting right in front of me was the bolt, nut, and the clearly unconnected shock. It was "on the bike" but Im either blind or stupid. I mean I watched that darned video a bunch of times and just didn't get it. Really appreciate you guys and the forum. Thanks again!
