What carburetor is on it now? I believe the website lists the carburetor size (bore) diameter. Pictures of the carburetor and intake would help in an assessment.

I was wondering if you could clarify a couple of things from the video...

Did the ignition fail? Or did the aftermarket ignition that you added fail? If it started when you jumped the starter, then the ignition unit did not fail (the starter relay or button/wire failed, right?).

Also, you mentioned something about the timing chain failing. I must have heard that wrong. Did the timing chain fail?

I must have misunderstood.

I am seriously considering selling my GSX1250FA and buying one of these EGL RS 450s. So I am VERY interested to hear about your experiences with it. THE SSR Motorsports SR450S is the main alternative to this in the USA (maybe the only 450 in this price range). It is a little more expensive -maybe about $900 more if you include the destination charge, then there is the mysterious ocean freight surcharge as well! But November 2016 Dirt Bike magazine gave it a great review.

Thanks! It sure looks and sounds great. I like the looks of that swingarm, and frame/engine cradle (looks like a nice stiff alloy piece), though not impressed with the choke "placement" and other minor ergonomic SNAFUs

I am sure you have much more details to share. PLEASE do!!

The ignition switch was most likely the culprit but all is well I did some rewiring as Chinese brands are rushed in assembly to keep costs down also I was referring to my lifan XPECT for clutch issues ;thumper
