3. As far as lowering, you could probably raise the fork tubes in the triple clamp, and get a shorter shock; or decrease the preload in the stock shock so there is more sag. You might also try removing some foam from the seat and recovering it.

You could also wear riding boots with ridiculously thick soles.....

I debated about the KPX for a few weeks as well and the only advantage I saw for the RBX and Templar X was the more off road oriented suspension. I got mine three weeks ago and will be hitting 1000 trouble free miles tomorrow.
