like an idiot, I left it connected storing my bike for six months. Completely dead.

I thought for sure that was the end. But I connected some jumper cables from my truck to the motorcycle started it up and everything is fine.

it’s really unbelievable to me how well these batteries hold up. Old lead acid batteries would have been gone long ago with the abuse I gave mine
I had asked American Lifan why the KPX didn't come with a Lithium battery like the Xpect? There response was because the Xpect didn't have space for a conventional battery so that's why they went with the compact lithium. I did suggest the switch to Lithium batteries in the future bikes.

I'm glad you are getting good service out of yours. I tend to use things until they are no longer useable to me. Right now, I'm seeing how many miles I can wring out of the factory chain, I have new O ring chain on the shelf ready to go.
I ran my factory chain over 5000 miles. It sure stretched out a lot but it kept going. I think I did my 5000 mile service at something like 6000 miles if I remember correctly. And that’s when I first changed the chain.

Oh!!!!

I just figured they all came with the same battery. I didn’t realize they would have a design difference like that.

There are so many other similar or common looking parts on the bikes I just assumed. Learn something every day.
