A larger engine would certainly be nice, but that development is probably years away, if it ever happens at all. I am pleased with the performance of the 250cc engine, and I'm sure power can be further enhanced with a Dobek EJK controller, et cetera. However, a good shock absorber and stiffer fork springs can certainly be developed in the very near future, and a good suspension would certainly transform, and elevate this bike's capabilities.

Wanting a little more power is how we got to 1200cc adventure bikes. I'm very happy that something smaller, lighter and with adequate power is available in the RX3. I do understand the need for more of everything and am guilty of seeking those pleasures, but this bike is pretty damn good the way it is. OK, maybe the suspension could do with a tweak or two, then there's the seat..................

The Zongshen RX3 is only sold by CSC in Azusa, California. All of us either picked up our bikes in Azusa, or had them shipped to us. CSC is currently cutting $200 off the shipping cost for Father's Day.

Thanks for the invite CSCDude. It's on my bucket list but don't know time wise if I'll be able to coordinate with you guys. Being self-annoyed (I mean self-employed), I tend to get out of Dodge when the opportune moment arrives without much planning and just take off on a whim. If you get a target date set keep me posted and we'll see. It would be a good ride for sure.
Would it be for RX3 riders only or can a friend come along on another brand bike? We could make him ride 20 paces behind us and be our "fetch us water boy" rj

Need an good idea for carrying a spare inner tube on the bike. I don't want it getting holes in it while being in the panniers and having things rubbing and poking it. Kinda takes the fun out of a flat tire if your spare has leakyweaky. Ya know what I mean? rj

You could mount a fender bag to the lower front fender, as I have done with my Honda XR650L. My fender bag contains an inner tube, tire irons, et cetera.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC sells several types of fender bags for very reasonable prices.

The CSC Blog reports the compnay is currently developing two new saddles for the RX3 in collaboration with Seat Concepts.

http://californiascooterco.com/blog/?p=17100

The blog also reports CSC is "hard at work on a new RX3 rear shock and stiffer front springs."

Tell you what...I'll post the dates when we confirm them, but if you can't make it, why don't you and your friend tell me when you can go and we'll do our own trip. I don't need much of an excuse to point my front wheel south...

Thanks man that would be awesome im stuck working a ton right now but if I ever do plan on going that way I might give ya a holler in advance ..
My budget is kinda tight seeing as im 23 in my own apartment paying bills and what not but ive started setting money aside for some fun this summer! I plan on getting the two Apollo 125s for me and my gf but eventually want something to commute to work and take out on some trails preferably a used dual sport. I have a ebay store selling vintage watches jewelry , etc.. I pick up from auctions so hopefully I have a nice chunk of money soon!

Hey RJ, I did indeed put my balloon on the map. Haven't been able to take it for a real ride due to a mix up at CSC on paperwork.
