Ok, so I will need to remove the forks. When you say caps you mean on the top of the forks not the bolts on the bottom of the forks? If not, what are the bolts in the bottom of the forks for? Sorry I have no experience with fork maintainance.

Yes the cap on top. Break loose the caps before removing from the triple tree as it will be a pain to break loose once removed. It will be very similar to the Brozz in this video.

I did my Valve Adjustment today. Intake was dead on but exhaust was tight. It wasn't as bad as Tom made it out to be.

Just watched your KPX valve adjustment video. To get the tank off, it was the electrical connection and turning the fuel line to Off, right?

When I did my X-pect's valves, all I had to do with the tank was block it up in the back. Made the mistake of thinking that would be enough for the KPX too. I see you managed to do it without removing the horn and cross-bracket for the tank plastics.

The connection on the tank has a check valve so once you remove the fuel line it will not leak. You will have to unplug the fuel pump and the sending unit for the fuel gauge. The sending unit connector was hidden so I didn't see it right away.

Thanks. I updated the instructions in my thread, and added a link to your video there too.

I changed the fork oil today and found the forks contain a cartridge type spring. Both forks were evenly filled with about 10 ounces of oil from the factory. I refilled them with 10w per Jerry's suggestion and the rebound felt slightly firmer. Rode about 50 miles this afternoon (1040 miles on the odometer) and the front end felt a littler firmer over the bumps and the front end didn't seem to compress as much under hard braking. Happy with how the bike feels now.

No video, but here are some pics of the forks and factory oil. Very similar if not the same as in the Brozz. First picture is factory oil, second picture is right fork, then left fork.

Mad

It didn't register in my mind when I saw it yesterday, but looking at the pictures again now, it looks like the washer is split at the top of the left fork. Looks like I'm going to be taking the cap off and have another look. Yep, nut was way over tightened to the point where the bolt is starting to split as well. Will see what Venom has to say.

Lever replacement options

Hey guys! Anyone know and after market levers for the kpx? Preferably a little shorter. I just have no clue how to go about knowing if they’ll fit.

Replace with Universal levers. I've used these on several bikes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FC8ZG54...SIN=B08FC8ZG54

I've been in contact with Kenny and Garie at Venom. They asked for pictures and why I decided to change the oil, waiting to see what they decide to do to resolve this. In the meantime I let them know I won't be riding the KPX.
