You should have seen the look on my moms face when she got back from vacation with my aunt and my dad had the back wall of the house blown out and a car stuffed into our living room. It was hard to hide under a table cloth.
Good move on the bike! New shock is definitely a good idea. It's not like you're worried about his clearing triple jumps yet. You can get one that will work for cheap. The good thing is he's probably growing like a weed so this is a temporary setback.

Thanks for all the tips guys. The shock that is on it is 10" center to center. So I'm gonna order a 9" Shock for it and drop the forks in the trees 1". I'll update my result.
