That's really cool that they phoned you. It sounds like they're on track to resolve the issue.

Good news on the tag! I'll bet that you can't wait to ride it.

We won't judge your bike. May we please have some photos?

Pics of the Jiang

Ok heres a couple pics - I removed the sidecar to do some of the repairs - waiting on parts before I reattached sidecar. I do like the bike in the solo mode though

Thanks! I dig those bikes so much. 8) The truth is that I'd order one without the sidecar; I couldn't handle not being able to lean into turns a little.

the leans

It is a completely different bike as a solo - This one will most likely get hooked back up to the sidecar once I receive parts from the PRC. Already thinking about another solo bike - maybe a Russian M72 - who knows.......

Thank you for posting the photos! The bike looks great; I hope you get a quick, satisfactory resolution concerning the repairs. How do you like the reversed pivots on the clutch and brake levers?

grips

I really dont notice much difference with the levers. This is my first street bike so thats the biggest change for me. Situational awarness - all the other suicide jockies in cars - thats my biggest concern :-)

I am somewhat facinated by these bikes. Never noticed the levers before. Also looks to be shaft drive?

Are these new bikes made from old designs? Or are they old bikes that are refurbed? If so, what goes into the process?

Very interesting machine, and looks like a good restoration. Once you get the bugs out you should have years of good times!

You won't have a hard time picking out your bike at a motorcycle gathering, that's for sure!

old bikes

Yes on the old bike rebuild - military bikes that for some reason they cant paper in china. Yea part of the reason I like these is because everybody dont have one - there a high maintenance machine but I didnt get it to ride everyday.
