Definitely plenty of fuel getting TO the carburetor. I haven't slept well for 3 days! I was out there last night at 11:00 trying something else I'd thought of. My wife said you're going out there tonight???? I told her you know I won't be able to sleep anyway if I don't go out there now, so I might as well TRY something.

Well, it worked to get me to buy a new one within a week of ownership, so they might be onto something there LOL. In the pictures, the new one isn't blocked off. I might even buy another new one so I can make the adjustments on the other bike.

I don't know a lot about the GY6 but is it one of these?

If that sucker has fire, starts and runs then starves and dies its fuel. I would take the carb off the good atv and slap it on the sick one. But it seems you bought a new fuel air mixer so nevermind. And, shouldn't the warranty be sending you new parts for free? I mean it came to you BROKE!

Warranty? What's that!? LOL!
Other than CSC and my local guy here in the past, I have never gotten any warranty parts from any of the major box websites.

I hope this new carb does the trick. Those GY6's are supposed to purr, from what I hear.

Numbrseven, Have you contact Don with APSCUSA? I just emailed them with picture of damage to my UTV and he sent out replacement parts the following day.

They haven't responded to any emails I sent before this issue arose, so I haven't bothered emailing. They haven't answered the phone yet this week, but that reminds me to try again today.

Update: Don answered. He advised to try draining the carburetor and tapping on it and may have to drain it a couple of times. He said they put some kind of coating to prevent rust and it sometimes clogs the carburetor or makes the float stick before it gets cleaned out. He said if that doesn't work he will send me a new carburetor. I'll report back tonight or tomorrow night with the results. Crossing m fingers, toes... and eyes!

Normally, that's where I'd go first as well. But the CDI was bad. What are the odds that there's an electrical problem and a carb problem at the exact same time? If I somehow get off work in time today, I'll swap the carb, but the new one will be here tomorrow regardless.

Did you tell him about the CDI? That would be covered under warranty.

Well guess what happened to little mans new Tao 110 today? Yep, he started it up it ran for a few seconds and died. Fired it back up on the choke and it runs for a few and dies. If you give it any fuel it dies. I am going to tear into this thing tomorrow and see if this STUFF in the carb you speak of is causing the problem. Weird too, because I use a funnel with a fine mesh screen to fill them, and when I assembled it I put a fuel filter on it before I even turned the petcock on. SO something ain't right. I have a brand new rotary tool. I WILL get into that float bowl. LOL

Rather high. You can certainly have a bad CDI and junk clogging the slow jet. You can also have maladjusted valves (which is also likely), completing the frustration trifecta.

Don suggested to tap on the carburetor with a screwdriver after draining the bowl. He said it may take 2 or 3 tries but that will usually free up the crap. I also used a screened funnel and fuel filter. Lotta good it did huh? :-)
