Hey Dustin, nothing in Colorado needed to be notarized, but I had to have the Signed MCO, with Your name also signed on the backside, the Signed Bill Of Sale, with both the buyers and authorized Agents names (sellers)signed and printed, the Insurance card from GEICO ($76 per year) and $176 smackaroos. After 7 weeks, it only took 30 minutes.

Also...since it was from 'out of state'...I had to truck it down the the emissions station, for an additional $25 they performed a VIN check.

Also...here is a couple of guys who bought a Hawk DLX here in Colorado (in my own personal opinion, I really think these guys are really just of bunch of cry-babies who need their mommies!) and they document their trials and tribulations as far as registering and titling the bike. They also bought from Amazon but it was a company owned by Powersportsmax...

10 weight fork oil!

After riding the new {b}raven for awhile I felt my 220 lbs. was a little much for that chinese lubricant they call fork oil. After some research I concluded that they use 7.5 weight from the factory, so, not going crazy, I bought some Lucas 10 weight from Amazon for $6~. Time will tell, but it seems stiffer! They originally had around 180ml, so just to be sure, I added about 210ml. I really splurged at the Dollar Store and bought TWO containers, hahaha!

6/23...WOW! What a difference, no sagging when mounting, slightly stiffer on bumps, but not too stiff. Keeps the front-end from wobbling and tracks excellent! The 10 weight Lucas fork oil did the job very well!

Around 200ml is what I run in my forks as well. That decreases the air gap, which increases the curve in the air spring affect of the fork during compression, leading to a stiffer fork at the limits of compression travel.

As far as oil weight in the forks, it's only worth noting if you stick to the same brand of oil. This is because there is no standard for viscosity rating for fork oils, so one brands 10w may be another brands 15wt, or vice versa. What it does help you do is dial in the viscosity if you stick with the same oil. For me, 15wt PJ1 synthetic fork oil works great with my fork valves, but PJ1 synth is thin compared to maxima of the same weight and would likely be closer to their 10wt.

I need to credit 'China Rider 27' for posting the USB charger that I bought on Amazon. It works great and is very accurate!

I can't take the credit as the one you installed came from this thread and fine USB charger it is. Credit goes to Dhilbish. He has some nice stuff in his post.

Since I am here I, I will say I do like that Raven and if I was in the market for a HAWK style bike it sure deserves some serious consideration! After all, it is just another bird of a different color!

Since my saddlebags were in possible danger from the exhaust tail-cone I brutishly made a buffer pad (from leftover fiberglass that I had for a muffler packing project) to eliminate the heat. The hay-baling wire looks awful, but it wont melt and is covered by the bags anyway.

Digital Speedo-1

I have been using my phone as a speedometer when riding this awesome motorcycle on the street, (along with all the dangerous drivers), and because it was too distracting to try and read the little-bitty MPH numerals hiding in the shadow of the Big and Bright KPH on the display. I was intrigued by the prices from member SKYD's posts on his hunt for a speedo and sensor, so after my own investigations, I pulled the plug on this sensor, ($5 plus $14 ship and ONLY took 10 days from China!) https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...4a6a7408z2rAJ6
I then found a speedo ($~30):
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...%2316062%23661
and ordered them both. I ordered them on 6/23 and the sensor was delivered today and the speedo is in LA and in the USPS system. Awesome! I was a little worried about the sensor as it didn't give the measurements in the photos, but after comparing it with others I was convinced it had the 12mm axle bolt hole...one of the major reasons to buy as all the rest that I could find were 15mm...it also does say "Hawk 250" as the model...

The photos will show the new, electrical one first...then the stock one with the mechanical gears.

Update 7/3: USPS says my digital speedometer is now in Sparks Nevada!

Update 7/12 USPS says package will be delivered today!

Digital Speed-2

I forgot to also mention that I would rather use my phone for a GPS than a dedicated speedo. I do believe this will work...will keep it updated!

Also, here is the one that would probably work but it has a 15mm axle bore.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...%2316062%23877

The Thickness (32.5) is really important as it also needs to match where the disc-brake rotor lines up with the calipers. More Photos:

PSA: If you're buying tubes for this bike, the sizes are:
Front: 2.75-21
Rear: 4.10-4.60-18 (I've got 4.00-4.50)

The website says they are 17/19 but they are NOT.
