My sister is hobbling around on crutches. She says she is good enough to get in her car and take herself to PT. But, our Dad is insisting that he take her himself. He was so adamant about it that he traded his 2019 Jeep Compass in on a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee just so she had a bigger door.

At least that's what he tells us.

I was taking a path around the lake this afternoon on my 59 year old bike. As I neared a playground, I could hear a tenor saxaphone. A fellow was sitting in his car, in a parking lot. with his door open, playing his sax for the parents and kids.
-I thought that was pretty cool, and it may be as close as I come to attending a jazz festival for a while.

I saw my sister this week. She's getting around pretty good but had another month added to her sentence because of ligament damage to the knee.

She showed me the 'after' x-rays. If you've ever come across a rafter or floor joist that looks like the carpenter was paid by the nail, that would be an apt description of her knee. She actually has seven screws, not five, along with the plate. I told her she'd probably set off the airport metal detectors. She said not a problem because she's never flown and never will.

I asked if she figured out what happened yet and she still doesn't know. All she recollects is starting to ride down the hill then lying in the road and not being able to stand back up.

Things happen fast when going downhill. Sounds like she has enough metal in that leg to stock a hardware store. I hope the doc has prescribed some good pain killers.

You would be surprised what wont set off a detector.... i have a plate and 8 screws in my arm, and never had issues flying....

Added the proper Sears console shifter to my Flightliner. I think I have already posted
about adding the correct weld-on kick-stand.

I dragged the Fat Bike down from the big garage attic Tuesday and put the Rivendell up there in its place. Took a look a the two flat 4" tires, then looked at my floor pump and said, "Nope". The went on a hunt for one of my several presta adapters, of which I found none. So, I ordered a dozen.

There was a time when I would never let my air compressor near a bike tire. There was also a time when I didn't have arthritis and tendonitis in my shoulders. Convienence won out.

Now, I just need some snow.

Added a Spyder chainguard and rear fender to my Flightliner. You gotta have the right chain guard to pull off the muscle bike look.
