couldn't help myself to take a ride.

paper work is in and monday i will get the tags.
i like this bike and how it rides. my 1st ride on a new bike sets the tone.
i love it! i was worried about my riding stance 6'2" lanky frame. i couldnt have a better setup, and cant wait to ride it to work(30 min ea way @55mph). it does have a huge jug of a gas tank. i opened it and discovered that some gas was already in it. lets see those other chondas try that. this tells me the fuel lines are good, besides how long do they expect this to be crated with gas in them? it was about 40 degrees and sunny on my short ride today. took some steep hills with no problem at all, and has to have more than 17hp. it doesn't vibrate like i expected it to, very smooth and fun in the s curves! it handles the rough pavement roads too. the exhaust is quiet! it also is a wide ride, not like the past few i have had..
gotta say Lifan is pretty good!

Glad to see you like it and enjoying the Kpm200. I was out today enjoying my new bike too. My poor Hawk was just sitting in the shed so took her out and made a few blocks to charge the battery. Made me realize how much low end torque the Hawk has. As soon as the new bike is broke in I think I'll port and deck the head.

I have to admit, I kind of want one. I would have no qualms replacing my Hawk with this. I do kind of have to laugh a little about how loud the motor is compared to the exhaust though hahaha. The clatter is real.

note:

cant easily see the instrument cluster with a full face helmet on. is placed on the tank for peeps with open face helmet to see it easily. but on the other hand with it where it is you can see the road down in front of you without interference obstructing your view. i dont remember a bike iv had with this much vision of the road.

Looks like Orion in Texas is importing these too, they have both colors. https://www.orionpowersports.com/lif...2-yr-warranty/

How difficult would it be to remove the "strap" around the tank? That's the first thing I'd want to do if I got one... lol

That was my thought too. It looks like they are just screwed on at the top. Just wondering how the bottom was attached.

I'm glad the changed the turn signals. Originally they had some goofy looking check mark turn signals. Those look so much better.

Signals are easily changed in any case. I don't even mind the tank straps. I wish the price was just a bit lower, but otherwise this seems to be the best road bike alternative I have seen on the market.

belts and buckles on gas tank

i am pretty sure this is an easy task to remove them. it appears to me that you would need to match up the other bolts around the gas tank lid. the belts attach underneath the tank and do not attach to anything other than the tank, so those can be removed easily.
