He's got an esc for sale too lol. He is selling his heli and is parting it out. I might get the batteries and split them, would give me 4x 4s 5k's for the slash.

This is just a toy, not hobby grade. But that being said, $60 for a Jada 1/12 scale 4x4 isn't bad. I pulled all the unnecessary plastic off of it which lightened it 87 grams or 3.1 ounces, and dropped the body mounts 5mm after I took the pics.

It's not as fast as it's 2wd counterpart, but is too fast to run indoors. The rear axle has 3 adjustment positions and if you move it forward 7/8" it is wheelie capable but straight line stability suffered so I moved it back. The 2wd has proportional throttle but this one doesn't, just go and "turbo".

It does surprisingly well in the grass and gravel, and handles small jumps pretty well. I tried it on some rocks but it would need my softer crawler tires and some lead shot for that. I think it will make a nice Xmas present for Jay's 6yr old boy Cash. But stay tuned, you won't believe what I've got coming.

I was definitely impressed with nitrorcx, high quality and much lower prices. But the model I wanted was out of stock so I went a different route. I found something better and went straight to the manufacturer, who offered free shipping as well.

This RC hobby is very addictive. lol When I got my first Traxxas Nitro Jato 3.3 I took it with me when we went camping. The Owner of the campground was a RC nut but was only into plans and boats. The first day at the campground I took the car out to the open field and had that thing screaming from one end to the other. It didn't take long for half the guys and kids to show up. A couple of weeks later a couple of guys showed up with brand new cars and trucks. A month later we had a few more show up and the owner with a Traxxas Revo 3.3. I swear I started and epidemic. I had more wives mad at me because there husbands were spending more time with the RC's than them. Oh well they got over it because a few wives showed up with some electric cars. Next thing we knew we ended up building a full blown RC Dirt track and a car track on the basketball court for the ladies and kids. We even had weekend competitions with people from other local campgrounds. Of course we always came out on top. Home field advantage.

Oh I know it's addictive. Me, my brother and cousin Hank spent silly amounts of money on them, and this led to building 3 outdoor tracks at Hank's and a centrally located tower for the drivers. But after a few years we got burnt out and started building full size trucks and a rock bouncer. But winter is coming and now I have the means to buy the one that I've salivated over for years so..

Hmmmm…..can one imagine a china riders get together combo with rc? Who's going to run the slapping booths?

Since we live on 10 acres....AND the mrs has this desire to race cars and sleds....she might enjoy rc racing. Heck we maybe can build a drag track and more.

The mrs found a u tube site that dudes from northern Idaho take these Barbie cars and modify and race them....another crazy idea!!!

Dan and I will ofcourse man the slapping booths, the only difference being Dan will offer some helpful advice and technical information before laying one on ya..

Yes, RCSpark is a good channel. I love the Raminator, but can't justify spending $3000 on an RC right off the rip before mods.

First 10min of the video is a little slow, showing you the car etc, but does have some good information on servo end point adjustment. But after that it gets pretty wild, definitely a nice rig.

I broke my daughter's ankle with my Jato a few years back. She ran out in front if it.
