Hey Forklift nice going. And to everyone else hello!I believe it was Sgtscorpion that asked "are you and I the only ones with these bikes?"Nope I have one too!As for light problems go ,I haven't had any but I do want to change the ones that came on it.I recently had a fiasco with the chain tensioner so I removed it.I even had a link removed from it to take up the slack but couldn't get it to fit so I had to adjust the jack shaft to help out.So far so good but I think I will eventually cut out the plate the tensioner bolted to so the chain wont rub it.Anyway,Fofklift in what you said about the primary jet(small one)I have been told to leave it and to focus on the secondary(big one)But man keep me posted on how that new filter set up works! Its been a blessing to meet more owners(Dammit if only you lived near j-ville fl) Hope to hear from you all soon.Oh yeah I too have picks but don't know how to post.[img][/img]

Hello again nabsport
Well I did it!!! I got a drive 17t sprocket from scooterparts4less(20x17x4)
and 2 17t 17x14x?.On the Drive sprocket I hogged it out a little.Then I
Had to hog out a little off the engine  The 17x14x? fit just fine!!!So that
was easy .I got an air/fuel screw and I am up and running.
The test ride:Take off is fast just the way you would like it!!!
How ever when I get to 4th gear my top speed is only 60 and RPM is
at 5/6000......Don't Know why it wont go to 9000???I should be able
to hit 70+MPH.Any thoughts????Maybe bigger or smaller jet???
Annnnnd the K&N filter is a winner!!!! Looks and acts like a champ!!!
More later
Well just got off the phone with Bruce at EJ cycles(that guy rocks!!!)
Good news is I may need a bigger jet and I should be able to top out
Bad news is JT sprockets don't make the 20x17x5 drive any more
I got 2 ea 20x17x4 and I would be willing to mod any one who wants
to go to the next level. But first Ill try a bigger jet and give a report.

Well it looks like the FML163 engine don't have enuf "ooph"
I put in a 108 jet and cant get past 6000 RPM/65 MPH
But the 17t fits so I can adjust the chain with the jack-shaft
Take offs are stronger and you don't have to wined it out to get speed
to shift. Also I get to 55 MPH in 3rd.So 4th gear isnt so high RPM at 55

Hey man that's great to hear.BTW,I hear you keep mentioning engine rpms as if you have a tach installed.(if so hook me up as to how you did it) :wink:Anyway,is your bike 4sp or 5sp?(mines 5spd)As for that 105 jet you are running, dump it!I am basically stock and I hit sixty with no problem.Funny thing is,mine CAME with a 108 in it and it struggled to do 55mph!I now rock a 112.5 but I have heard elsewhere on this forum of guys with the sport bike versions using 114 but I think their climate is a factor.Well enough about that Forklift, you and i need to talk about that sprocket.if what you're sayin is true,I should be able to cruise 60-65 which is pretty much my goal.Oh and more ass padding :?Need pics though so"hook it up mane"

seat

Does any one got a quick fix or and ideas on how to make that plastic seat a little better on the backside ? I was looking at gel seats but they are pricey.

I was looking at gel as well. I think ebay has some cheep ones.
I was also looking at a new seat.I'm still looking at diff. makes and mod.
of motorcycles to see if one would cross applicate. As you probably
noticed they aint cheep.I may just make one my self.Or take my
plastic saddle to a furniture upholsterer.

seat

I was going to try bobber springs at the bottom and modify the bolts but the plastic won't hold up to the stress, and it gives the seat an ugly lift. It takes away from that smooth flow of the shape.
I could take the cover off the plastic and glue gel wrist pads for the computer on there. Its a cheap way out. and then put the cover back on.

Hey Nabs,
Sorry I missed your last post  .Anyway I have a kick ass speedo/
tach/temp.It rocks  .Is called the Vapor I got the universal one.
About the 4/5 speed sadly I have the 4 speed push rod ver.My main jet
was 98 stock.I could hit 60 MPH with all forward gears a 15t.I then went
to a 105 and hit 64MPH.But that was at 9000 RPM.With the 17t at 4th gear
I get about 64 MPH at 5/6000 RPM.I cant get any more power out of it  .I will try to add a tooth or two on the back end.I want to get 65
at 8000 RPM I don't think we will be able to get much more out of it.
As for the seat at one time I had 2 large springs at the rear and 2 sm.
springs at the front. It did work I took them out because is looked out
of place. Now I have larger tires I could MOD my design and I will post
a DIY on how to It should look fine.

By the way I bumped jet up to 108 no diff.Ill try 112 soon and see.
Weather is getting poopy and when I MOD ill want to test soooooo
we will see.

Well I got all my pics. on photobucket but when I serch Dragon Chopper
they dont come up

So what did you all think of the vid?
To turn aint so bad....You just got to know when you want to turn(sharp)
And at that moment lean and gas.when you lean you will get up on
the "edge" of the tire. And their is much less foot print and then its
like turning a bicycle

:P Well its good to hear from you all again.Bitchin picture Forklift!I hear ya on the 4spd though.but yeah you might try a 110 jet BEFORE you do the 112.5 just cause it may work since you're probably at a higher altitude :?: Anyway I need more info on those guages so I can see about gettin rid of this speedo and start really know what the engine is really doing.Oh yeah and before I forget, where do I get the sprocket for the rear? What you have should work for me especially with the extra gear.Well I just ordered the plug wire from NOLOGYso I'll try and post up pics when I can.And as for the seat,(butt padding)I want to know the same thing.I just don't have the funds to experiment thoug

Click on the pic. for video. My speedo is called Vapor you should
be able to google it.
My rear sprocket is stock (36t)I haven't changed it (yet  )
My drive and jackshaft sprockets are all 3 17t.I was toying with the
idea of keeping the drive 17t and the jackshaft back to 15t
Me thinks that I would have insane take off power but low top end.

I have the same chopper, and mine is bone stock. i weigh 130, and am 5'9" and have hot rodded 70 out of it. this lil thing rocks. when i got it the guy told me it was a 4 speed, but just for shits and giggles, i tried upshifting when i woulnd out fourth and it hit 5th no problem, poured on the gas and 70 was easy, but got skeered, and ass lagged and let off of it. i am amazingly happy with this lil bike ( mine was called a scorpion btw) and with the current tn law, should be able to tag it with no problems. Got rid of the x's from the sides, never put them on. but am interested in what you guys think about side covers, and other cosmetics. seems like i am getting better out of stock than with mods mechanically, so i think imma leave it for now. and a bottle of locktite, and a good wrench are a good idea. wish i could post pix, but don't know how

Welcome Lil-John,
Good to hear that you get 70 mph!!! I was hoping to at some point
get 80.But at 6' 220 I don't think that will happen.......Yet
Now,are you going 70 MPH on that POS speedo? My speedo was a
real POS.Maybe yours is different.Mine would say 80 mph when
doen 50 .Just so you know them tires are not very good....
I hit a pot hole or 2 and a belt in the tires broke.I would hop like mad
at 35/40.And at WOT.....well lets just say my eye balls finally stopped
shaken :P With you I think that makes 4 of us Soooooo cool!!!
Check your gas tank it will rust soon  .And you should look
at better lights.About Pics.I wasn't to savvy about that either. But
If you got a dig.camera and a way to down load to your computer,
photobucket worked out easily.Let me know if you got them 2 things
and Ill help you best I can IE:cable from camera to comp.,your memory
chip can fit in your comp.or,I got a plug in adapter that my chip fit in to.
I think you should get a NGK spark plug if you still have stock. It will
make a world of diff.
