I'm Very excited to hear of your progress. I will be following this thread closely. I am interested to see what sort of performance gains you will get, and your perspective on the increased noise level. How have you found your bike so far as far as comfort is concerned? The riding position appears to be modestly leans forward, not too severe. It looks fairly comfortable.

Nice to have some Whitworth fasteners on the RE.
I still consider the RE a Brit bike even though it is has been built in India for many years (1955?). |

For all intents they are British in my estimation.
The main difference is that the Indians have been doing a better job making them than the Brits ever did. It's similar to the VW Beetles that remained in production in Mexico until last year, decades after production ceased in the Fatherland. Made in Mexico or not, they were German cars.
