OK, under the clutch, next to the plastic gear is the pawl and ratchet parts of the shift mechanism. I don't know why you are playing with the clutch. Shifting is a transmission problem. I would put the shift lever back on, and watch what is going on when you shift it. Have the bike on the center stand so that you can move the rear wheel back and forth so the gears can go into mesh...ARH

Everything looks normal. Do what ARH recommends to see if the shift drum indexer is working correctly.

^2X^ Get someone else to shift it while you video. Might help us help you figure it out.

In your 1st video @ 0:11 what you want to look for is to make sure the star shaped part is rotating when it shifts and the bolt is rotating with it. If not you may have sheered the dowel pin that is behind it. If you wasn't so far away I would come by and give a hand. Might cost a few beers but would get it figured out. You'll be a MC mechanic in no time.

I need to wait until tomorrow and see if I can get a stand to set it on. If the wheel moves will that make the shifter catch? As of right now the springs not pushed all the way in to move it into gear.

That would be sweet. Thanks to everyone that's helped. I just saw these posts after I had already taken the video showing the shifter and I wasn't sure about having to set it on the stand to get it to engage. I'll try to get that stand tomorrow and set it on there to spin the wheel.

Baasically yes. It has a constant-mesh tranmission, gear engagement by dog clutches. So you have to rotate the rear wheel back and forth for it to shift through all of the gears.

I put it up on a stand and had someone help me spin the back wheel and move the shifter while I filmed it. The first video is regular speed and the second one is slowed down towards the middle.

After watching the video I realized the real issue. The shift stopper arm and wheel are stuck behind the shifter plate. The wheel should be riding on the shifter plate. Look in the manual I sent you and you will see exactly what I am talking about. you may be able to take a screw driver and pop it back in place. Just make sure it lines up with the stopper plate after. The arm doesn't looked bent. Not sure how it could of gotten there in the first place.

Thanks! What page would it be on in the manual? And is it the one for the Storm or the other bike?

I would remove that lever that pivots on the left side with the hole in it that you can see that sort of star shaped wheel that is not turning, and see what is bent or broken on the back side of that lever/s...ARH

It's not rotating because the Star shaped plate is not in the right position for the shifter plate to catch it and rotate. once he puts the stopper arm back in place so that the stopper plate is in the right position it should work.
